About the Artist Jim A. Hall
Hello, and thank you for visiting Wild Country Art Gallery! My name is Jim A. Hall and I am a wildlife artist from Cincinnati, Ohio. Born June 6, 1957, I began drawing at the age of 4 years old. Coming from a family of 14 children, I had plenty of loving encouragement through the years to pursue a career in art. In 1980, I graduated from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Since that time I have created and illustrated a variety of exclusive pieces for such corporations as P.S. Greetings in Chicago, Korb Check Printers, U.S. Playing Cards in Cincinnati, and Cape Shore Paper products in Maine. Many of my originals are part of private gallery collections and have been exhibited at various local venues. Through the course of my 25 year career, I have composed a large number of works; mostly wildlife, but also still life, historic home portraits, and various other subjects. Using various mediums of pen and ink, graphite, water colors, and colored pencil the attention to detail in my drawings make the subjects extremely lifelike, as they would be in their natural setting.
